Built like a tank

This wheelchair bag uses material that's above and beyond and the workmanship is impeccable. There are many pockets in it. It can hold everything you could possibly need. This is the most durable backpack I have ever seen. It's a little pricey but if you can afford it, It's worth the every penny. This will be the last wheelchair bag you will ever have to buy and that's why I give it my highest recommendation.

Very large, high quality wheelchair bag

This is an outstanding, very large, high quality wheelchair bag. It is very well made. The stitching is excellent. The material is very durable. The zippers work easily and smoothly. I got it for my handicapped son who's wheelchair dependent. His bag is small and starting to show wear so I wanted to get him a new one. I can't believe the superb quality of this bag. It should last him a long time. It has several pockets inside and out...a place for everything. It also has several straps for attaching it to a wheelchair, power chair, or scooter. We're really excited about this bag and love it. It's wonderful. I highly recommend this wheelchair bag.

Fell in love

Received the bag yesterday, and I love it. It fits perfectly on my chair and allows me to use that instead of the plastic case I made for the back of my chair. Easy access to storage compartments, large enough to place big items in if I go to store. I am looking forward to trying new things with this bag and my travels.

NICE AND BIG

I like this bag because I can carry everything I need with me. So big I sometimes lose things in it. So many pockets that I can carry sunglasses and regular glasses, beverages, snacks, gloves, extra pens and paperwork, masks . . . anything I need.

Not just another backpack! The difference is in the details.

I have used a power wheelchair for about 20 years, and in that time I have had many different backpacks, none very satisfactory. Typical problems were not enough space for groceries, difficult to get items out after they were put in, store clerks leaving the zippers both pulled all the way down on one side so I couldn’t reach them, zipper pulls which were hard to use, and not looking professional. I have weakness in both my arms and my legs, so the zipper issue is pretty significant for me.

Feeldom was clearly designed by people who know what it’s like to be in a wheelchair. I love the fact that the whole rectangle top opens up which makes it really easy to pack and easier to find things once they are put in the bag. Zipper pulls are big round rings which are pretty easy to use. In the closed position, the zipper for the top is pulled all the way around to the front of the bag, which makes it easy for me to find every time. And I do like the look of it. Also, as you can see from the side-by-side picture, it was always obvious when I had stuff in the standard backpack, but the feeldom looks pretty much the same either way. It also has eight individual straps that can be used to attach it to the wheelchair, so it’s not likely to come off.

I can’t myself get things out of any of the small side pockets when I’m in the wheelchair, but I can load it up by myself when I’m in bed, and I like that. Then when I have a helper with me I can tell them what things I need and where to get them from. I also like the inside zipper pocket which I use for things that I don’t expect to need, but that I want to keep safe and easy to find if I do need them.

So: is this more expensive than a regular backpack? Yes, no question. Does it offer more functionality than a regular backpack? Again, no question, it’s a much better design for a wheelchair user. Is that extra functionality worth the cost? That’s something different people will have to decide for themselves. Some will say yes, some will say no.

For me, it’s a definite yes, if just for making grocery shopping easier. My usual routine is to shop with a basket on my lap, go through check out, and then have the clerk put the items into the backpack. The feeldom bag holds way more than my old backpack in terms of typical grocery item boxes and containers, and it’s much easier for me to get the items out again. For example, if I was getting a quart of milk, a couple of cans of soup, a bag of potato chips, and a boxed salad, with the old bag I would inevitably end up having to carry one or two items on my lap. With the feeldom bag, everything fits and nothing gets crushed. All of the grocery clerks at my regular store have commented on how much easier this bag is.

But if you’re always going out with another person, a regular backpack may be all you need since they will have an easier time packing and unpacking it. Although they may still end up carrying the potato chips!

This bag is a nice option to have, though, if it fits your budget.
